Hi

I've only just found this site and it looks exactly what i need. On saturday morning i had my lovely mollycat put to sleep. I'm utterly heartbroken.

Originally it was thought she had cat flu but she didn't get better.I nursed her for two weeks prior has she could barely walk. It turns out she most probably had kidney cancer.

She would of been 13 next month so had a very good life. She has a sister mia and they were best friends. Molly was my companion as i spend alot of time at home due to illness. She had a shorter tail as her brother bit the end off when she was a baby.

She would 'talk' alday. If you called her name she would chirp. My cats would be waiting outside my bedroom door when i woke from a nap. They always seemed to know. Molly loved tummy tickles or any fuss actually. We would watch casualty together.

She was also very lazy and would happily sit on the radiator all day.

She was my loyal best friend.I now have mia and we are abit lost at the moment. I've always had two cats and mia was the independent one and molly was a fat lap cat who would lick you haha .

part of me is regretting being there when molly was put to sleep but she needed me. She fought to the bitter end and was wagging her tail.Yes she had her wires crossed and always wagged her tail like a dog.

mia and i have now survived over 24 hours without molly and its been terribly hard. The house is so quiet.I hate to think of molly in the garden alone.I try to think shes in a little house with a warm fire.Stupid i know.

How do i carry on withput my baby girl

sorry ive wrote an essay x

Hello Magical; I am so sorry to read about your precious Mollycat. She sounded a sweet natured and loving little girl and loved you so much from how you describe her. It is so hard when we have say goodbye; my little one Toffee also had cancer and it is 5 years now since she was put to sleep. It is the one last act of love we can do for our precious furry babies ; it is so sad and so hard but we dont want to see them suffering. I joined the Ralph site after I lost Toffee; with mixed emotions of all sorts; I made friends with others , all feeling the way you do, feeling the quietness in the house, and the large gap they leave in our lives. Mia must be missing her too, and she will be finding it hard to understand how upset you are feeling and the grief you are going through. I have Toffee buried in the garden so feel she is near; have little flowers blooming; so pretty like she was. Take each day at a time; always here to talk; I do understand how you are feeling; in time you will look back and remember all the happy times you shared; she is at peace now; it is you who are suffering. Big Hugs XXXX Penny
