Four monts on and i still miss you so much my baby girl. i nearly said "hi Jessie" when I came home the other day and then remembered that you aren't with me any more. i miss you so much sweetheart. I contacted the Kitt Wilson Trust the other day by email to see if I would be able to get a rescue cat, but i just cant bring myself to go and see them or phone them. I just want you, and only you. Oh, what to do!! The emptiness and pain in my heart haven't gone and I know I could never replace you (not that I'd want to) but I only want you, so how could I get another? You were meant to stay with me for at least another four years, so I feel so guilty for ending it all when I did. I'm so sorry my baby girl. I hope I did the right think and that you forgive me. I love you so much and miss you like mad xxx

Oh Renate, this is the worst time. The interim period where you feel such guilt, but you will know that what you did was the greatest gift to relieve her of her pain. There will also come a time when you are ready to go to the rescue and you will be the person who can love another cat, that previously has not had that love. Do not time yourself on any feelings, these are all normal (but awful) feelings we experience, but they will fade, and beautiful memories will replace them. xx

Hi Renate, I really feel for you, it is a very painful time, I am just a couple of months ahead of you, I have days when I feel guilty but I know that Pixies time had come. You did the last loving thing you could for Jessie. I still have a cat but I know I can't replace Pixie.
Jessie knows you love her and she will still feel your love now, she doesn't need to forgive you, you did nothing wrong. Be kind to yourself, you will know if and when you are ready for another cat. Take care x

I still miss my Basil (my dog) a year on, i still find myself calling his name and calling my girl dog my little man cos thats what he was to me. I feel blessed to have known him and to have him in my life and feel you will feel like this yourself one day and maybe feel you could love another Cat x

We all feel for what you went/going through.
But you explained it so well. Can't run from heartache and a heartbreak. We just have to deal with it. But as you can see all of us are going through it, we all understand.
