My darling bearded collie Fluffy died in my arms 2 days ago at the vet's.
She had been my faithful companion for 14 years and she meant the world to me.
Every time I showed her my love and appreciation of her, she gave it back to me tenfold.
I am completely brokenhearted...

I am so sorry that your precious companion Fluffy has died. Our dear pets are so close to us and to lose them is devastating. Had she been ill for long? She sounded a wonderful companion and friend and it was lovely to share such love. Take each day at a time; always here for you. I do understand how you are feeling and it is a very difficult and sad time for you. Hugs; Penny xx

Hello there,
I'm so so sorry to hear about the passing of your beloved Fluffy. Your pain and grief comes through loud and clear, as does the love you have for Fluffy.
I feel for you so much, as I know exactly what you are going through - I remember thinking that heartbreak and devestation would never lift. I was very low to the point of being unable to sleep or eat....Our love for our pets is so very strong, Fluffy will be in your heart and thoughts forever.
I promise you, in time, and it does take a long time to work through grief, your positive upbeat days will outnumber the down days.
Fluffy had a wonderful life with you. You gave Fluffy a loving, caring home. Fluffy could not have wanted for more.
Please be gentle with yourself, take things hour by hour, day by day. There may be many, many times you feel completely overwhelmed by your grief, as it ebbs and flows, but remember you can come on here anytime and you will have love and support from people who are experiencing or have experienced the devestation of losing a beloved pet.
Take care
Michelle xxx

Many thanks to Michelle and Penny for their kind words.
I cannot tell you how heartwarming it was to read you.
I know time will help but for the moment it feels like something is ripping my heart out with teeth of fire.
I've had bereavements before in my life but I didn't know it was possible to love a dog so much and let it become part of you..
Again thank you.

Thinking of you and understanding just how you are feeling. The love shared with our pets is deep and so meaningful; they share so much with us and rely on us to care and look after them during their lifetime. Take care; treasure those wonderful years and in time things will get easier. Hugs XX
