Is it wrong and selfish to grieve?? Shouldn't I be happy that they're gone and possibly not hurting? That they don't have to deal with the world, depression, financially, mentally, emotionally, physically, emotionally, struggling?? Missing and grieving feels narcissistic and selfish. It feels all about me instead of them. |

Dear Sarr,
I am deeply sorry for your loss and the pain you are experiencing. It is important to remember that grieving is a natural and necessary process after losing a beloved pet. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and it is not selfish to feel the pain of loss. Your feelings are a testament to the love and bond that you shared with your pet. It is okay to miss them, and it is okay to feel emotional about it. It is also important to remember that your pet would want you to be happy and healthy, but that does not erase the grief that you are feeling. Please know that you are not alone in this and that there are many people who understand the depth of your loss and are here to support you. If you use Facebook, please join our private group which is full of very supportive like-minded pet carers. https://www.facebook.com/groups/theralphsite/.
Thinking of you,
Shailen
