Charlotte

Unknown - 05/02/15

Remembering the sweetest cat ever. Charlotte came to use in June 2011 after the sudden death of my little cat Tillie. A friend who works with animals advised adopting an older cat. Knowing I could never replace Tillie, but hating the emptiness of the house without a cat - I decided to look at the local cattery website, and Charlotte's sweet face just jumped out at me. I immediately send an email of her to my daughter and said 'This cat is mine'. When we met Charlotte I did take time to look other cats, but despite feeling sad for them, I knew Charlotte was the one. Charlotte was around 14/15 then with an ongoing ear problem and arthritic hind legs, but that did not stop me. After being with us a short time her ear problem flared up and after a few visits to our vet, he suggested I contact the place I adopted her from to carry out surgery to have the ear removed, which we did. They were wonderful, we took her in to their Head Office in February 2012 and she was there for almost 3 weeks, during which time we were allowed to visit her and they removed one ear, cleaned and scaled her teeth and further surgery to remove three teeth. Eventually we were allowed to bring her home and she was like a kitten, going into the garden and laying in the sun and generally enjoying life for the rest of 2012. Then she became very agitated and could not sit still, running from room to room in the evenings and generally acting oddly, more vet trips to find she had hyperthyroidism and was put onto a life time course of medication. After Christmas this year, she started acting oddly again, getting so picky over her food, I tried all kinds of things, and eventually took her back to vet to get her thyroid levels checked. Without going into distressing details, with the kind help of knowledgeable people, I had to make the dreaded decision to let her go peacefully last Thursday. How I got through this, again, I will never know - but with the help of friends and this website I managed. I just want to say, Charlotte run free at the Rainbow Bridge, and thank you for spending your Autumn days with us. You were the sweetest little cat ever, never ever grumpy with us and enjoying being petted by children. I will always remember you with love.

Chay was my gorgeous big lad also known as fatboy due to his love of food,he was a massive part of my life for 15 years and the sweetest most laid back dog i have ever owned, the day that the decision was made to put Chay to sleep was the hardest thing for me but i know it was the best for him,he let me know that morning that the time was right and he needed to go to rainbow bridge, leaving me,my family and his little playmate Missy broken hearted,Chay was loved so much and probably more than he ever realised, bringing his ashes home a week later kind of gave us some closure and relief that in a way he was back home where he belonged, you will never be forgotten big lad and those big ears and wonky front legs will always be in our memory of you as that is what made you the unique and beautiful dog you were, love you from here to eternity, sleep tight baby xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

My darling Chelsea i miss you so much, my heart is broken, i felt dreadful taking you to the vets today, you purred right to the end, your tumour in your mouth was quite big and was bleeding, i just wanted the weekend with you, but every time i looked at you my heart broke knowing on monday morning i was taking you on your final journey, you are at peace now my darling with your brothers Tiger and Leo and sister Ozzy, i will always love you, you brought me such joy over the last 14 years. your start in life was not great you came over from Ireland in a sealed container and had been trapped in there for several days, when you were discovered with your baby brothers and sisters you were very dehydrated and it was touch and go, with a lot of hard work and loving care from cats protection, the minute i saw you i feel in love with you. we had some fun times over the last 14 years, you ended up a big cuddly cat, you were so loving and never hurt anybody, even at the end you were so placid my darling girl forever in my thoughts sweetheart xxx

My gorgeous Chelsey who had to be put to sleep at the age of 18 and a half. The only cat a know who didn't need to put in a cage for a vet check up. He would lay on the back shelf of my car and sit on the chair next to me in the vet's waiting room! I still feel his presence in my home and know he is with my Dad in heaven. Miss you my gorgeous boy. xxx

Chester

Chester you were a legend. The one and only. Full of life. You kept us amused and terrified when you were in a bad mood but we loved you. You lived a long and happy life, all be it losing some of your tail when it was trapped in the front door, to being locked in a neighbours house and having to get the police to break in to rescue you. We miss you - you ginger peril - rest in peace and don't torment Poppy too much. x

Dearest Chewie: When you left us you did not go alone for part of us went with you the day you were called home. We know your life had a purpose as you came to us in a special way. You affected every person that met you on your journey. We could have missed the pain but would of had to missed the dance. RIP GOOD GIRL
