Homer
We lost Homer in October at the ripe old age of 18. We knew we were getting close to saying goodbye, he was old, had suffered a couple of strokes and had bad arthritis in his legs, but the pain on the day was unbearable. He was a cantankerous old boy but I loved him dearly. As long as he had a warm bed in the winter and a sunbeam in the summer, he was content. We made a final journey to the vet following a short illness. He looked at me and I knew it was time to let him go. His ashes are buried in a pot beneath a Japanese Maple in the sunniest spot in the garden.
Sleep forever in the sunbeams my fisher King, my heart has a Homer sized piece missing now and it will never be replaced xxx
