ELVIRA
You were my special little girl, tiny and elegant. I rescued you and your two sisters when you were six weeks old.
I had to always encourage you to eat, you had the best of everything, nothing was too much trouble for me.
You always ran when your name was called and would follow me around. you loved to sit in the garden and watch
the world go by. Unfortunately you took ill very fast and we lost you in less than a day. The vet said that your heart was nearly three time the size it should have been. You had obviously been born with this condition but you were always active and appeared to be healthy even if you were small and thin. I thank you for the three and a half years that you were with me, I will treasure that time forever. You went to Rainbow Bridge on Mothers Day, I couldn't buy my late Mam a present but I know she will look after you, my precious gift to her. It has broken my heart to lose you but I would not let you suffer in pain and the vet could do nothing to save you. Sleep tight my darling Elvira, one day I shall see you again and we will be together for eternity. You are loved so much and will never be forgotten. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
