Patches

Unknown - 07/11/20

Patches was my constant companion. We adopted him when he was about 3 years old from Summerville, SC. He constantly wanted to just be by me, whether it was sleeping next to me when taking a nap or being on my lap when I was driving. His life was cut far too short from kidney failure. He is missed so much.

Patsie

31/07/94 - 25/04/09

Our Patsie, a gorgeous Persian Chinchilla cross was a stunning girl. Her registered name was Silver Flash of Lightning although she was our little girl, not a show cat. She bravely fought a mast cell tumour for 2.5 years after being given 12 weeks to live. She was a complete Princess, and she knew it; she ruled the house and called the shots with her "brothers", Charley & Harrie. We only have Charley now, Harrie has joined Princess Patsie on Rainbow Bridge. We love and miss her every day. Rest in peace sweet girl xx

Pebbles

Unknown - 13/01/18

Pebbles was a loving little cat, a real lap cat, a one-woman cat. I got her from a local animal rescue centre on 24th January 2015 after she'd been a resident there for a year or so. They thought she was about 12 years old or even 16 but were unsure. She'd been a stray earlier in her life, taken into the rescue centre, been companion to an older lady who couldn't take her into her nursing home and then she went back into the rescue centre again, maybe waiting for me to come for her. Because she was older and had a beautiful long tortie and white long coat they thought people didn't want to take her on so overlooked her. I saw her and fell in love with her at first sight. We shared almost 3 lovely years together. Pebbles loved her coat being brushed, loved her Felix cat food, loved my lap, wandering round her garden, never bothering to try and jump the high fences or gate, my bed and her fleece blankets on all her chairs. She never seemed as old as she might have been, not until the last six months when she became slower and they discovered she had cancer, a lymphoma, in her neck and back of her nose. When the medication was no longer keeping her symptom free I knew it was time to let her go. I used the same wonderful vet practice as I have used with my other cat and the day she went to sleep Laura was the vet on duty. They settled us in a quiet room together then came and gently gave her some sedation before putting her to sleep very peacefully as I stroked her and talked to her, telling her I loved her. They let me stay with her as long as I wanted and when I collected her ashes they had taken a paw print and clipping of her soft fur. I miss her quiet presence in the house, the brushes where we bonded, the cuddles, the different meow's she used to use for different things and her companionship. She was a very special cat and I have her ashes in the dresser now, along with Tosca's.
