Rest in Peace Beautiful, Who died today, you are my best friend. And know animal could replace you. Have fun in heaven Rose, I will be missing you. And all them special memories when Granddad would go mad when you decided to enter the kitchen, when you ate all that wood off the hutch and when you used to hide in the shed, you had such an amazing character. I will miss them kisses and the inspection of the hutch from time to time when I cleaned your hutch! Sleep tight you blue-eyed angel. Love You Rose x

I remember picking Rosie as she was the runt of the litter, and the only tortie in a litter of tabbies! I bottle fed her until she was strong enough to eat on her own - she always had a good appetite! She was always such a character, and so affectionate. She would sit on my lap and pat my face with her paw, then butt me with her nose, and then curl up and go to sleep. She would race around the garden, growling with pleasure and excitement, reducing us to tears of laughter at her antics. She was truly a one off. At the age of 14, she went blind, but still enjoyed good health. Eventually, I had to take her to the vet after she suffered a seizure. He diagnosed kidney failure, and a possible tumour. It broke my heart as my little girl slipped away in my arms. I was absolutely devastated, as was my son, who was 19 at the time. Although she gone to the Rainbow Bridge, she will always be in my heart, until we meet again. Run free, my darling, well and whole again. Wait for me, I'll come to you, I promise xxx

I'm Still Here Dear friend, please don't mourn for me I'm still here, though you don't see. I'm right by your side each night and day and within your heart I long to stay. My body is gone but I'm always near. I'm everything you feel, see or hear. My spirit is free, but I'll never depart as long as you keep me alive in your heart. I'll never wander out of your sight- I'm the brightest star on a summer night. I'll never be beyond your reach- I'm the warm moist sand when you're at the beach. I'm the colorful leaves when fall comes around And the pure white snow that blankets the ground. I'm the beautiful flowers of which you're so fond, The clear cool water in a quiet pond. I'm the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring, The first warm raindrop that April will bring. I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine, and you'll see that the face in the moon is mine. When you start thinking there's no one to love you, you can talk to me through the Lord above you. I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees, and you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze. I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep and the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep. I'm the smile you see on a baby's face. Just look for me, dear friend, I'm everyplace! You were such a wonderful companion and we loved you so much. It has broken our hearts to lose you but also in an undignified way. Your back legs went and you couldn't move when you laid down in the conservatory. We thought you had pulled a muscle in your left shoulder but it was worse than that you had lost the use of your back legs and because you were a big girl we had to get the vet to the house to help us to get you into the car which was very difficult. After xrays we were told you had arthritis along your spine and it would be kinder to put you down. Please forgive us darling we thought it was for the best but didn't want to lose you my darling Rosie xxx

Today marks the anniversary of the day our once-in-a-lifetime dog, Rosie, crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She always was a constant companion, happy to see you and even had a waggy tail up to the date we had to say goodbye. Rosie came to live with us as a ten week old puppy, rescued from a local dog shelter. We only went to attend an open day and we saw this cute, loveable bundle, and we were smitten .... As she grew, it was obvious that she would never win a beauty contest, but she had the most beautiful heart of any creature I have known. She was so very poorly at the end and it was the kindest thing to do, although we all still miss her and think about her every day.

Rosie was a rescue dog from Battersea. She was a very nervous dog as we believe she had been badly treated. With a lot of love and affection we gained her trust. We had over 6 years of her loving company. She had a wonderful nature, and would tell us when she wanted to be fed or walked. She would make us laugh when she howled at the antiques road show and channel 4 news music. Unfortunately she had a very weak heart and became seriously ill and after a great deal of heart searching we decided it was in her best interests to stop her suffering to have put to sleep. We will never forget her nor will anybody who new her. She is now buried in our garden and we plan to plant a tree in her mermory.
